Three Chelsea players are now named in U21 Premier League Team of the Season so far

Three Chelsea players are now included in the Premier League Under-21 Team of the Season.

The interesting XI is a WhoScored CD with the Blues trio of Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, and Malo Gusto.

Given how many youngsters are playing for Chelsea this season, it would not be shocking that a few young players are in the starting eleven. Just glance around for a moment.

Stamford Bridge’s midtable position this season does show that there have been some encouraging moments.

WhoScored, the statisticians, have revealed their Premier League Under-21s Team of the Season, with the only requirement being that players must be 21 years of age or younger as of August 1st, this year.

First of all, Chelsea defender Gusto is included in the right-back spot with an overall rating of 6.54. The 20-year-old’s looked pretty solid so far during his first few months in England. His main issue now will be a lack of game time following the return of club captain Reece James.

Next, 20-year-old star Colwill makes the team in the left-back position. He’s got an impressive 6.83 rating so far this campaign due to his commanding performances at the back.

Palmer, who made his debut as a senior England international last night, is positioned as the offensive midfielder with a 6.98 match rating in WhoScored’s starting lineup. We believe you could make a compelling argument that the 21-year-old is among the top young players in the division right now.

The best among them is Cole Palmer.

Palmer is undoubtedly the most promising among the young possibilities in our opinion at this time.

Palmer is a “clever footballer,” according to Jermain Defoe, who made this statement via Channel 4 last night. We believe his assessment to be accurate.

If he can stay healthy and grounded, the attacking midfielder with a left foot is going to have a huge season.
