‘Whoever is serious’: TalkSPORT pundit advice clubs to go and sign £70m Chelsea target in January

Ivan Toney should be up for grabs in the new year, according to Gabby Agbonlahor, who thinks Arsenal and Tottenham should compete for his services. This happens just as Chelsea is allegedly interested in acquiring the Brentford striker.

Ivan Toney hasn’t played any football yet this season while he serves a suspension for violating betting laws, but he continues to be a hot issue in the media.

Although the 27-year-old will be eligible to play again in January, will he still be sporting the Brentford uniform at the close of the next transfer window?

Arsenal and Spurs should aim to buy Toney in January, according to talkSPORT expert Gabby Agbonlahor, in order to support a Premier League championship challenge.

Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT when asked if Arsenal should attempt to buy Toney: “Whoever is serious about the title in January, go get him.

But do Spurs actually go for Toney? If Spurs are vying for the title when they arrive in January…

“Go get Toney,” I advise anyone is serious about the title challenge.

This week, TEAMtalk reported that Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs will compete for Toney’s services. However, Brentford can attempt to raise his transfer cost to £70 million.

Also earlier this month, TEAMtalk reported that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino had named the center-forward for Brentford as a player he wanted to work with at Stamford Bridge.

Twenty goals in 33 Premier League appearances for Brentford the previous season just scratched the surface of his potential.

Toney, in our opinion, is prepared to lead the line for one of the top teams in England.

When you consider all of his qualities, it makes logical that the major teams are interested in him since he is a complete frontman.
