Gus Poyet, a Chelsea icon, believes Mykhailo Mudryk will succeed at Stamford Bridge.

After initially having trouble, Mudryk joined the Blues in January and is now adjusting. And Poyet is confident that he can join Eden Hazard in becoming a Chelsea legend.

“Explosive, direct, and very, very quick,” he told the Evening Standard. Mudryk is the kind of player who can do the job that Eden Hazard did at Chelsea; the potential is there.

“In January, you don’t sign that many players 99% of the time. That surprised me the most, to be honest. There is undoubtedly a strategy if we examine the players they purchased.

“They are players who were signed for the long term. Patience is the new message.
