‘Find it hard to believe’: Journalist doubts that the “fantastic” Chelsea player would go unless a sizable offer is made.

Conor Gallagher, a midfielder for Chelsea, may continue to play there. Paul Brown, a journalist, holds the view. Conor Gallagher has been strongly linked with a transfer away from Chelsea, but Brown told GiveMeSport that he believes the 23-year-old will remain at the club until an offer that can’t be turned down comes in.

The Premier League has other teams interested in Gallagher, whose contract expires in 2025.

The Daily Mail claims that Tottenham Hotspur sought to sign him during the most recent transfer window.

Conor Gallagher will probably remain at Chelsea

Brown anticipates Gallagher to remain put and believes it would require an offer the club’s owners could not refuse for him to go.

Regarding the Englishman, he said: “I find it hard to imagine that someone who has been so motivated to succeed at Chelsea would wish to leave that club. Everyone recognizes him as Chelsea completely. He’s doing quite well right now and is incredibly proud to play for the squad.

“And I think he’s staying there unless the owners decide they have an offer they can’t refuse,” I said. Selling Gallagher would, in my opinion, be a grave error made by Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino’s pivotal player

Gallagher has been such a key player for Pochettino this season, but we don’t believe that will always be the case after Romeo Lavia returns from injury.

Since Reece James and Ben Chilwell’s injuries, the England international has led Chelsea without missing a single match in the Premier League.

So maybe he’ll be at Stamford Bridge even beyond January.
