Former Chelsea striker announces unexpected retirement.

Loic Remy, a former Chelsea striker, finished his playing career after a respectable run.

After leaving French club Brest, the Frenchman, who is well-known for his time with the Blues and Newcastle, declared his retirement.

Remy joined Chelsea in 2012, and after leaving the club in 2017, he later represented Getafe and Crystal Palace.

The 36-year-old played professional football for up to 14 different teams.
