According to ESPN, a Chelsea player who excelled against Brighton is poised to be sold.

One of Chelsea’s better players from their victory over Brighton last night is apparently ready to be sold, according to reports.

The Blues eliminated Roberto De Zerbi’s team in the third round of the League Cup, moving on to the fourth round of the competition where they will face Blackburn Rovers.

A few Chelsea players put in strong performances on the night, most notably Cole Palmer and Ian Maatsen, who worked well together to assist generate chances throughout the game, one of which Nicolas Jackson converted for the game’s lone goal.

Marc Cucurella, a left back who hasn’t really caught Mauricio Pochettino’s attention during his time at Chelsea, did, however, make a rare start.

He was picked up by Pochettino last night, and he played well.

But according to today’s ESPN report, Chelsea is open to hearing offers for Cucurella before a potential January transfer.

I suppose this shouldn’t really come as a surprise because they nearly loaned him in the summer as well.
