Cucurella 7,Palmer 8, Rating Chelsea players in Brighton win

In the League Cup, Chelsea defeated Brighton 1-0. As for how we rated the players, see below.

P. Palmer: 8. utilized Mudryk’s speed with his deft through balls to display his creativity, and he assisted Jackson’s goal.

7. Cucurella. After the break, he was a man possessed, going into tackles, winning the ball, and aiding in the development of attacks on the right side after some terrible first-half defense against Mitoma. In the second half, he was arguably our best player. Impressive considering how out of position he played.

Jackson: 7. He finally accomplished what he was bought to do: score a goal. Should have gotten a second, but offside prevented it. Overall not a fantastic effort, but Nico will hopefully feel more confident moving ahead now that he has scored.

6.5 for Mudryk. He moved in a dangerous manner but produced nothing. There were also a few awful touches and passes. There is also a great deal of persistence and desire. Additionally useful defensively, which differs somewhat from how he typically plays. Is Misha making progress at last?

6.5 for Ugochukwu. Had good ball movement and added sound defending to his repertoire, but his tackling was rash, and he was fortunate to avoid a red card late in the first half.

Sanchez: 4. really fortunate that Pedro missed when he almost gave his former team a goal in the middle of the first half by essentially handing the ball to him to score. Overall very wobbly.

Others include Disasi (Colwill), Chilwell (Caicedo), Sterling (Maatsen), Enzo (Gallagher), and Broja (N/A), among others.
