Rating Chelsea players in their destruction of Brighton: Sterling 1, Cucurella 2.

Kovacic -7

For Chelsea, the Croatian played like a charging horse, smashing Brighton down the center and setting up opportunities for his teammates. But on that particular day, Chelsea really failed to put things together, and Kova’s best efforts ultimately proved to be mostly ineffective.

Silva, Thiago – 6

The only defender for Chelsea to appear in the first half was the seasoned Brazilian, but despite his valiant efforts, Chelsea players managed to score against them as Brighton players discovered openings in their defense.

Loftus-Cheek 5

The Englishman’s terrible first half included an own goal and an awkward appearance. He did, though, find his groove in the second period and came close to giving Havertz an assist.

Cucurella 2

When the Spaniard visited his old team, he was awful. March instructed him on that left flank since he was frequently caught out of place. The boss of his erstwhile allies wasn’t much assistance. Maybe Potter ought to have sent him on his way to Chilwell earlier.

Sterling 1

Another terrible performance by Sterling. The Englishman appears to have lost a lot of ground and is only a shell of the player who carried Chelsea at the beginning of the year. He misplaced a lot of balls against Brighton and didn’t complete any crucial passes or dribbles. I’m curious as to why Potter left him there for so long.

Other Players: Ziyech – NR, Broja – NR, Gallagher – 4, Mendy -4, Mount – 6.5, Aubameyang – 6, Kepa – 5, Chilwell – 5, Havertz – 5,
