Mount 9, James 8.5: Chelsea players rating against AC Milan
Jorginho and Auba both scored once as the Blues defeated the Rossoneri 2-0.
Mason Mount 9: played a significant part in both of today’s goals for the Blues. He performed a great job positioning himself in the box, earning a penalty, and causing Tomori to be dismissed first. Then made a museum-owned assist for the first time to Aubameyang.
Recce James 9: Excellent crossing and passing today from the right-back. The penalty was brought about by his wonderful through ball. We’ll learn more soon, hopefully his substitution was a precaution.
Gorginho 8: Despite Milan supporters’ attempts to distract him with lasers, he walked away cold as ice from the scene. His line-breaking ball to James, which was also beautiful to see, was what ignited the attack that resulted in the penalty.
7.5 for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. when scoring Chelsea’s second goal, displayed excellent awareness by telling Sterling to leave the ball for him. Unfortunate not to score a brace today.
7.5 for Trev Chalobah. fought Rafael Leao and did a fantastic job of marking him. Trev starting for Chelsea hasn’t resulted in a loss yet, and this is no coincidence. The man exudes assurance.
7.5 for Mateo Kovacic. The Croatian played defensively with great vigor. Very beneficial in terms of his carrying and improved passes moving ahead.
Thiago Silva 7: Great defending to stop Giroud from scoring a certain goal early in the second half.
